Who is Cognixion?

Cognixion began its journey helping locked-in patients use their mind to communicate with the world. Through its 200+ community of Brainiacs (individuals with disabilities and clinical experts) the company has created a remarkable wearable computing platform that combines AR, EEG with AI to drive user agency, autonomy and ultimately Assisted Reality. In the journey of product development, we sampled numerous off the shelf solutions and ended up determining that all of them fell short for our needs. Our years of prototyping and research iterations ultimately culminated in obtaining FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for our medical product Cognixion ONE Axon. While Cognixion’s vision and mission continues to be focused on creating Assisted Reality, we realized the tremendous potential that a device like ours could unlock in a variety of research use cases. This realization was the impetus for introducing Cognixion ONE Axon-R (“R” is for High Performance Research)

The wearable design enables flexibility in research environments, while its seamless lab streaming layer integration and expansive SDK with BCI Studio™ facilitate easy experimentation and data integration. Axon-R's value lies in its adaptability, precision, and user-focused innovation, revolutionizing how we approach neuroscientific and clinical exploration.

Our wireless BCI technology optimizes the signals from each user's unique brain and can be fitted to any head shape. By reading brain signals alone, our BCI solution detects attention toward an object that represents the intended speech.
